Custom Orders and Bespoke Pieces

Here you can request a Custom Order of a handmade cloisonné enamel. Before requesting a Custom Order please read the info below.
Please note: Because I make every piece by hand I am limited to a certain number of custom order slots per year. After initial inquiry a deposit is required to book your spot in the queue. Once estimated start date has arrived, design time is roughly 3 weeks beginning on your start date and lead time for a finished piece can be approximately 10-12 weeks.
Design
Darci Shea Studios has a minimum cost for custom orders, and requires a 50% deposit of which is a design/consultation fee that includes one design and two changes to the design. Clients will receive a detailed watercolor or digital design with measurements and estimated cost of the final bespoke item. This design fee is applied toward the final price of a handmade bespoke cloisonne item. 50% of the estimated cost of said cloisonne will be required before production can begin.
Deposit
All Bespoke items are handmade by Darci Shea from precious metals, glass enamel and optional gemstones and require a 50% deposit before production can begin. The remaining balance will be required upon completion of the piece and item will be shipped after receiving the final balance.
For an order cancellation after production begins, the client agrees that they are responsible for any non-recoverable costs for the piece, as well as the deposit/design fee.
Returns/Refunds
Custom-designed pieces are non-returnable and design fees are non-refundable.
Turnaround Time
Bespoke and custom items can take approximately 11-15 weeks from design to production. Design time from initial booking is approximately 3 weeks and lead time is 8-12 weeks.
Payment
Darci Shea Studios accepts the following payment options, credit card, check and cash payments. All bespoke and custom items are subject to tax and shipping fees. If a client requires shipping insurance on an item, the client is responsible for the cost of shipping insurance.
Repairs
Darci Shea Studios provides a 12-month repair warranty if bespoke/custom item is damaged during that time frame. After the 12-month warranty has passed all bespoke/custom item repairs are subject to a $120/hour repair charge. Darci Shea studios does not replace lost or stolen items.
